access, and microprocessor-based workshops.
CET is committed to continually improving its services. As such the CET
management has upgraded the computer facilities to allow larger connectivity
between our students, faculty and the outside world. CIBES’s fully equipped
laboratories offer computer Networking running under BUS and STAR Topology
on IBM compatible computers, to provide convenient but high-tech
environment.
Getting information out quickly has become the speciality of the modern
age. Internet has played a pivotal role in this information hunt. CET is
connected to the Internet and our newly constructed web-site provides some
additional and quick details about the Institution.
CIFT, too, has an independent fully equipped computer lab to enable the transfer of technological knowledge to its participants specially in the areas of "Learning through Technology".
Throughout
the year, different curricular, sports and co-curricular activities are
arranged to provide the students with healthy recreation and to channelise
their energies positively.
Provision is made for the inter-class Scrabble, Table Tennis, Squash, Badminton,
Throwball, Cricket, Chess, and Tennis matches. The college teams have successfully
won many inter-college and inter-board matches, thereby winning laurels
for the Institution. Apart from providing in-house sports facilities, prestigious
locations, like the Jehangir Khan Squash Complex, Customs Club, and Sind
Board Sports Complex are booked on a regular basis.
The Annual Students' Week which comprises of Qirat & Naat Competition,
Stage Dramas, Debates, etc. and the Annual Sports Gala is an intrinsic feature
of CIBES's recreational policy. They are arranged every year, and are a proof
of the commitment of the Management to provide a comprehensive educational
package.
There is no doubt about the fact that in a comprehensive educational institution, libraries play a pivotal role in the development of a student, both personal and intellectual. They are the treasure houses of knowledge from where the students, and the teachers alike, draw the maximum benefits.
At all CET Institutes, where great stress is laid on the "Excellence of Education", the fully equipped libraries meet the latest standards of commensurate, well-designed library. They provide the students with thousands of books, Audio/visual aids, and periodicals, covering a wide range of subjects. New titles are being added on a regular basis. CET libraries subscribe to a wealth of National and International trade publications, economic journals and scientific magazines & periodicals. From time to time, different distinguished publishers are invited to arrange book fairs and exhibitions in order to inculcate a healthy habit, in the students, of reading and cherishing books.
CIBES start at 8:00 a.m. and close at 2:15 p.m. There are spacious cafeterias, for girls and boys respectively, to provide nutritious and well-balanced snacks to the growing youths. Strict hygiene and cleanliness procedures are maintained to ensure healthy living. A wholesome lunch and delicious snacks make tea breaks and lunchtimes a time to look forward to.
Apart
from preparing the students to meet the vigorous demands of the modern era
and to think independently, CET wants its students to be environmentally
