One-Day Workshop for School Teachers

(Matric / O’ Levels) at COMMECS

COMMECS Institute of Business and Emerging Sciences organized a one-day workshop for school teachers on Saturday February 13, 2010. The programme was exclusively designed for Biology and Chemistry teachers. The workshop was divided into two modules. The topic for the Module I was ‘Emotional Intelligence’ presented by Mr. Muhammad Yousuf Khan, Acting Programme Director, Graduation Programme CIBES. Prof. Khaliq Alvi of Commecs led the workshop on the topic ‘Chemical bonding’, while Dr. Ansar Rizvi conducted the workshop on the topic ‘Bio-diversity.’

Mr. Ramzan Awan, Additional Secretary HE, Govt. of Sindh, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Whereas Mr. Ahmed Chinnoy, Trustee and Member Managing Committee, CIBES and Mr. Abid Hussain, News Editor, News One, were also present as the Guests of Honour. The workshop was organized as part of CIBES’s public service initiative with the aim to provide sound training to the school Teachers (Matric and O’ Levels) from the renowned schools of Karachi. The guests highly appreciated CIBES’ public service initiative for the cause of education. They stressed the need of enhancing Teachers’ skills for a better development and growth of the students.

At the end of the programme, certificates were presented to the participants. College shields were also presented to the Chief Guest and the Guests of Honour by the Principal CIBES Cdr. (Retd) Abdul Razaq PN.
